Mamaka Mills has teamed up with the Washington Street Mill to create the WSM Give Back Project. We at Mamaka Mills, purchase hundreds of pounds of bulk vintage and previously worn clothing a week, in which we utilize most of it in our quilts and other textile projects. Often times, we have to buy more than we need so we are left with a lot of excess fabric and extra clothing! We created the WSM Give Back Project in which we give the excess clothing to the workers here at the mill. In this way, the clothing is being used locally by the mill employees and their families, so it's a win win for everyone!
We are very proud to be helping so many families on a local level and we look forward to expanding this project so that in the near future we can help more families and communities within the area that are in need.
