How to Quilt Using a 100% Silk Tie: How to Breakdown a Tie for Quilting



I'm going to show you the best way to break down a 100% Silk tie, to prepare for quilting.
In most cases, it is perfectly ok to throw your ties in the wash, using a gentle cycle. Ties are one article of clothing that are rarely washed so you may want to do that before handling.
