This was made for a family in New Hampshire who lost their young daughter, two years ago.
I made this quilt for their other daughter, out of her sister's clothing and accessories.
I used all kind of fleece clothing, tights, a fabric book that she loved, and many other items which were very important to the family.
The great thing about making this quilt was being able to give the family something they could use everyday to remind them of their daughter who had passed.
This was a very special project for me because this family was quite possibly one of the nicest and most loving families I have ever met.
Knowing them and being able to work on this project for them was really very cool.
In order to use the knits I had to fuse them to an interfacing,
which in turns makes them very stiff and easy to quilt with.
