I started on this quilt today for Josephine, who recently lost her father.
I have finally decided on using a strip method with a color gradient change using the ties and shirts.
All of the shirts are shades of pink and blue, which make it really easy to make a gradual color change...
Josephine gave me so many of her father's ties, all silk and very bright and beautiful.
Before using ties I must open them up and fuse them to a backing to ensure they will be stable enough to last in a quilt... tutorial coming next...
