Our friend, Steph came to visit us this weekend and she brought
a box of the most wonderful FREE shirt fabric samples!!
Her tailor in VA no longer had a use for his old fabric sample books
so he passed them on to her
and she passed them on to me!
They are so beautiful and I can't wait to start quilting with them!!
This is what I'm talking about, people!
You can get the most amazing fabrics when you think outside the box and get creative!!
There are FREE fabrics everywhere, you just have to find them!!~

This custom men's shirt manufacturer no longer needs these
and he certainly doesn't want to keep them around.
Be creative and find ways to get "new to you" amazing fabrics and textiles
without stepping foot in a fabric store.
Go to your local furniture store- Their fabric books are only good for a couple seasons and they usually end up in the trash.
Ask at your local interior design store- Curtain sample books are always changing and the old styles, yup, they end up in the trash!!
Do you have a tailor or custom clothing maker in your town??- Ask them for their old 'sample books' too! Trust me, they don't want them and would be happy to save them from the landfill by finding them a new home!
Put out an ad for free fabrics wanted on your local freecycle or craigslist- People love to hoard fabric and when they want to 'de-dlutter' (or stash gets too big) they often times try to find their fabrics a good home by looking on these free sites or selling them cheap at yard sales. I have had so many people who have come by my studio to donate fabrics to me because they don't want them anymore but want them to go to a good home. Some of the most amazing fabrics I have quilted with, I have gotten for free.
I think you'll be blown away at what's out there, for free, just waiting for you!!
