Custom Memory Quilt in Progress Made from Shirts and Sweaters...

After weeks of cutting I have finally moved on to sewing my strips
and have almost completed the first of four
memory quilts for a family in Ohio who lost their father.

These quilts will be made from his clothing and
sweaters and it really reflects his style and color preferences.
This quilt is for his daughter and I tried to use all of the cool colored shirts,
like the tie dyed golf shirt and a purple cable knit sweater...

I sew the strips into sections and then lay them out on my design wall.
When I have the size right I then sew together the sections...
